You do not need to register to read Tickwise. This page explains how visits are counted, which third-party content the pages load, what is stored in your browser, and what happens when you follow an external link.

We will never ask for these

Tickwise will never ask for your password, SMS or email codes, private keys, seed phrase, API secret or KYC documents, and will never ask you to transfer money to any account. Anyone asking for the above in Tickwise's name is not us, ignore it and stay alert.

How visits are counted

We count visits in two ways to see which guides people read:

  • Google Analytics. Every page loads Google’s analytics code. It records which pages you open, where you came from, your device and approximate region, and sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, to tell visitors apart and keep session state; under Google’s cookie documentation they last two years by default. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We see aggregated reports. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, Turkey or Serbia, Google Analytics starts in a denied state and sets no analytics cookies; Google only receives cookieless pings that carry no visitor ID. Everywhere else it runs as described above. The region is worked out from where your connection comes from, not from the page language. There is no consent pop-up. To turn off statistics on this site only, use the button below: after that, when you open the site in this browser, Google Analytics writes no cookies and sends no visit records. The choice is saved only in this browser on this device; if you switch browser or device, or clear this site's data, press it again. To turn it off on every site, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on or block googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com with a content blocker; the site still works.   • Cloudflare page views. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which adds a measurement script from static.cloudflareinsights.com. It records page opens, load speed and approximate country and device type, and we see only totals. This script sets no cookie, and blocking that domain does not affect reading. Cloudflare may set its own technical cookie for bot and security protection, which is outside our control.

Numbers you type into the calculators are worked out in your browser and are not sent to us.

Local browser settings and third-party fonts

The site saves your theme preference locally in your browser. Page fonts load from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so your browser sends a request to Google, which can see your IP address. You can clear this site's cookies and website data in your browser settings to remove the analytics cookies and the theme setting; statistics already recorded are not deleted by doing so.
